RE: Half Moon Bay?

My knowledge on this subject....

It all has to do with the trace routing of the source.

Example... on my machine.. I can request my homepage
... and I wait and wait and wait...via a cable modem
and then after 45 seconds it shows up. Now if I log
onto work and request the same homepage.. it pops up
before you read the end of this sentence.

Why...it has to do with your signal routing request.

Each path is different to the source. One ISP
connection may go to several hubs, while the other may
go to only few hubs. Also.. it only take one hub to
be down or be bogged down to slow down your
connection.

To test this out.. go to your dos prompt on your pc...
it should be: Start->Run and type in this command
in the open window.. tracert yahoo.com
another way to get to
it...Start->Programs->Accessories->Command
prompt

You will now see a new window popup and the time
intervals it takes to get to yahoo.com.... look
quickly, because it will go away.

This is why, you may see something at different
times...

Anyone else want to jab at this routing issue?
Or you can assume, pumpkins travel slow via the
internet.
