Oswego GPC weighoff notes
The Oswego weighoff was an adventure today- soaking rain showers and dark
skies, then the scale broke before weighing any fruit. By 1:15pm there
still was nothing weighed. A decision was made to drive everybody over the
the Port Authority scales to do the official weighing, and then come back
for the awards. I've submitted 17 pix to www.bigpumpkins.com showing nearly
all the fruit at the weighoff, but without most owner names or weights (I
couldn't stick around to the delayed end).
From the looks of the fruit, the top ones were all going to be close; very
good competition- there were many fruit of similar size. There were 2-3
squash (one was really green), and a couple nice watermelon to boot.
