Location: Van Hage Garden Centre, Great Amwell, Ware, Herts SG12 9RP

Weighing and awards presentation: Pumpkins will commence weighing at around
2pm on the day
Arrive: Please bring your competition pumpkins for unloading between 8.30 &
9.30 am on the day or between 4.30pm and 5.30pm the day before.
Other Events: A Giant Pumpkin Sculptor will be with us on the day to turn a
Giant Pumpkin into an enormous Halloween style lantern in a fascinating design
- this should create quite a spectacle.
Possible Records: We are hoping to have some monster squash with us as well
as the pumpkins that could challenge the British Record.
Meals: The Van Hage Garden Centre has a large Cafi and will be providing
refreshments and meals throughout the day to competitors.
Media: We are hoping to attract a number of interested media agencies
including magazines, newspapers and TV shows. Be ready to answer question
about your giants! Why not ask your local newspaper to come along also?
Accommodation: If travelling from a long distance, you may be interested in
locally available accommodation. The Hertfordshire tourist information centre
