seedless pumpkin

Has anyone had a pumpkin that developed and didn`t have any seeds in it when
harvested?
I gave a friend a Dill seed and his pumpkin didn`t have any seeds in it after
it was done growing. (he just harvested it for a Halloween decoration and made
a big Jack-O-Lantern)

What causes this to happen?
