WCPGA Needs Help...
Dear Fellow Growers:
It's now official the new Western Canadian Pumpkin Growers Association Inc.
( WCPGA ) has now been established. It's main purpose is to organize and
assist Giant Pumpkin and Squash growers in the western Canadian Provinces of
Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
Memberships will be available starting in about one month, as well our
Association website will be in operation at about that time. The process has as well
began on our first quarterly newsletter, spring seed raffle, spring growers seminar
and 1st. annual meeting.(booked for March 20th 2004) as well the 1st. Annual
Western Canadian Pumpkinfest and Weigh-Off in the fall of 2004.
We are now asking for your assistance and help in the following area's,
articles of interest for northern growers for our newsletter, seed donations for our
spring seed raffle (see seed list below), seed donation for our spring
seminar (see directions below), ideas for our seminar agenda and or persons willing
to do presentations, plus ideas for our 1st. Annual Western Canadian
Pumpkinfest and Weigh-Off.
If you have any ideas or comments please forward them to myself at the below
e-mail. This is our association and your input and help is greatly appreciated.
If you are out side our growing area your ideas, comments and seed donation
is equally as appreciated. Please we need your help in our endeavour so that
we may help, support, and encourage the growers of our new association and
the Giant Pumpkin growing community as a whole.

SEED DONATION
We are asking for ANY of the following seeds listed below to be donated to
our association for our Spring Seed Raffle. We feel that with the demand of
these seeds and as well other seeds that has already been generously donated
we will be able to raise the funds necessary that will assist us in putting
on our Spring Growers Seminar and any carry over funds will be put towards
our 1st. Annual Western Canadian Pumpkinfest and Weigh-Off.
We are asking for seed only known to be authentic with a known path to the
grower that can be verified or seeds from the growers themselves. We are
also asking for any remakes of the seed listed below or their parents.
Please if you have any of the below seed and would like to help us,
please contact me at the above e-mail.
Seed is as well needed for our Spring Seminar if you have any seed from
your own giants or seed known to be authentic that is verifiable and you
would like to donate them again contact me at the above e-mail. All seed
not used at the seminar will be returned.
Seed for both the Raffle and Seminar will be re-packaged using our envelopes
and marked accordingly and the name of the Donating person, group or other
association will be listed beside the seed for the raffle and packs at the
seminar, you may request to remain Anonymous however the person receiving
the seed or packs will be informed of the seed source upon request.
