Just wanted to let your company know that we grew a long gourd this year
and entered it a Port Elgin On Saturday Oct2, 2004 and it was confirmed
yesterday from Port Elgin Committee that they will be applying to The
Guinness Book of World Records for the Longest Gourd. The original seed
came from P and P 3 or 4 years ago and we have had great success with
it. It measured 114.75 inches without any stem. Am enclosing picture
taken at home the day before Pumpkinfest. We also came in 1st and 2nd on
Oct 3 with 2 other gourds that were on the same plant and 1st and 2nd with
our cabbage that came from P and P.

Congratulations! Well done. A new World Record. I feel like a proud
father. Could you please send a copy of the photo as an attachment to my email
address? Lgourd@aol.com
I will inform my brother tomorrow at a family wedding that his record has
been broken. Perhaps we can get together this early winter and talk over growing
techniques and put some good material down on paper?
Thanks for letting me know,
Ray Waterman
