Al, There is an odor - Marv is not all wrong. It may be more intense for
some and sure is climate sensitive for strength. I know what you're saying

I've noticed that all Large Gourd Plants have that odor. Long, Swan,
Bushel, Caveman, Dipper, Apple etc.
