That is very low. What you should worry about is where the sodium is coming from. It is coming from your water most likely. Are you using a municipal source? If so, very likely they put bleach into the water. the residual of this sodium hypochlorite is the sodium you see in the soil. I have normally 200 ppm from my water source in the soil.

Get your water tested. Too much sodium makes it difficult for other ions to be taken up...such as Ca, Mg, K. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MDUDLEY680@aol.com>

My soil test showed I am good in everything except sodium. It is  in the
"very low" range. 46 ppm to be exact. I've never had this before. Does anyone
know how  important it is and what  I should do about it?
