what a year

Well, gang, I did it. I grew a 312# pumpkin. I know that is small compared to most of you, but I am thrilled. I attached a picture of it (proud mama). I lost my 230# due to rotting on the bottom. I was crushed as I was planning on giving him to a friend's grandson for his b-day party.

I did have another white pumpkin that weighed in @ 185# (taped at 170). I took that to her grandson yesterday along with a 65# one. I've also included a picture of the stem on that one. It was completely split where it meets the pumpkin, but I decided to let him grow anyway. I know I've read about this type of split, but I wanted your thoughts on it.

Debbie
