Little cracks are not a problem. I think most of the 1092 Martin seeds had cracks.
Mold is more of a problem. I'd use a little bleach in water solution to soak the seeds. Then again, if you have cracks and then introduce bleach, I'm not sure about that. Make sure your bleach solution is weak and wash them several times, then blow air to get them to dry quickly.
