Hey Typhoid Mary...

Atleast you have tried! I have thought about it for 2 years now and have yet to actually start a seed! I bought the Dill Atlantic Giant seeds at Home Depot 2 times now and have yet to actually try... I get nervous about failure.

I have decided, however, that 2009 is going to be my year to bite the bullet and take a chance. So, I am also on the look out for some good seeds... dunno if my ones from the past would still be good. I have a greenhouse (6x8 hobby) that I can use to start seeds in... have plenty of pots... plenty of water... plenty of organic fertilizers... access to plenty of good, aged manure (sheep)... plenty of compost... plenty of pots (some very large)... and finally... plenty of courage!!!

I wish you luck for 2009... Grow a big one... a gigantic one!!!

Peace,
Jim

Subject: need seeds

After 4 years of failing to produce a giant pumpkin I am sending out a plea for some good seeds. I have a good place to grow, plenty of water, all the rotted manure I want, a green house to start seeds, and a great desire to raise a large (alright I admit it, an enormous giant) pumpkin. Lately it seems I am the Typhoid Mary of growers, one year it was the deer, then a flock of wild turkeys, mice, bug infestation, frosts, too hot, you name it and it seems like it has happened to me . At some point my bad luck has to run out, and I am thinking about next year already. Anyone willing to risk their seeds to Old Typhoid Mary?
Thanks,
Carol

Hey Jim;
I have a feeling this just might be our year. We have everything we need, and I'm ready to go for it. Even if all I grow is a small one.
Good luck;
Carol
