Hi Vincent,
I live in Mesa and have tried to grow large ones but no luck so far. I get
them started good but once the heat kicks in they are gone. It maybe just me,
so if you find someone here that does I would be interested to know also.
Maybe even if enough people in our area we could start club or something to
swap info.
Regards,
Ken

Hi All,
I live on the edge of Phoenix, AZ (in Waddell, doubt you've heard of it).
so
it's pretty hot out here in the summer. It seems that the largest pumpkins
all
come from the New England area or along the East Coast anyway. I was
wondering
if that's just because there's more interest out there or because the
climate's more suitable for giant pumpkins. I would think that the super
long
growing season and hot climate here would be ideal for pumpkins.
Anyway, I'd like to start growing. Can anyone tell me if the Atlantic
Giants
work out here just as good as in the cooler climates, or is there a better
variety? Any other advice for hot and dry weather climates? Thanks ahead for
ANY advice you've got for me! Great mailing list!
