Brock,
Your reputation is worth alot more than the weight of your pumpkin. I know
what you are going through. We lost are top two-pumpkins. We also have a
thrid that is close to 700 or over but, it has a crack in a dill ring.
Believe me the thought does cross your mind to patch it up and go for it. All
the time, money and hard work will make you want to do it, but you soon
realize that this is not the the right thing to do. On the other hand have a
veteran grower inspect your pumpkin as to what he or she thinks about the
condition of your pumpkin. If you think it's close take it, with a back up
pumpkin and let the judges decide.
