Medicine Hat Update

I just got back from Smoky Lake tonight.  The final weight on my pumpkin
was 449.8 which put me in 11th place, 6.4 pounds behind the 10th place
finisher, and just out of the money. A second "pumpkin" I brought, off
the same plant, had too much green to be a pumpkin so my daughters
Kaylee and Zoe entered it as a squash and won 4th place with a weight of
292.2. The Top Ten Pumpkins from Smoky Lake are as follows:

I also had a chance to meet Kurt Frederick and Will Neily from the
Pumpkin List at Smoky Lake.  Its nice to be able to put some faces to
the names as well.  Rod Goertzen (Meghan and Erick's dad) has an e-mail
address at his workplace so I am going to encourage him to sign up on
the list and participate.
