Don't let it bring you down..

For seven years i worked in the classroom with inner city and rural
delinquents. Listening to these teens it seems that Halloween is open
season for outrageous behavior. Games of how many things you can trash or
steal, dares etc...But i snapped when i heard of the following:... older
teenagers waiting just outside the neighborhoods that snatch trick or treat
bags full of candy from the young children. Let them do all the work and
take it Ha Ha....i was a volcano about to errupt.. i knew that most these
teens have had no guidance in right or wrong other than what happens in the
street and on the other hand lots have had tons of support+++ its doesn't
matter... But a lecture errupted..... and the bottom line was..how would
you feel if that was your boy and some bully stole his bag..Well i'd blah
blah blah......Do we get this behavior because these incidences of theft
and assults go unreported do we as a society tolerate this bullshit during
Halloween... Just because a few think it is a game doesn't make it so. It
is wrong, it is depressing and frustrating. But don't let it bring you
down there are only 2% of jerks and 98% good people out there. So get
right back on that horse. We will get some respect........Brock
