I was wondering....
Earlier on in the season I had a pumpkin set that was showing good
growth on a vigourous vine, then something took a chomp out of it and I
cut it off. I then let another one grow and it was showing good
potential but due to it's late start, had insufficient time to reach
it's full size (only arount 100+ lbs) before frost set in.
Would the seeds from this pumpkin not still have the genetic info needed
to produce a biggun? Remember time here was the limiting factor and that
the plant was grown from a seed from a parent around 800 lbs.
I'm going to plant a couple anyway, just for fun, but was wondering what
the expected results might be.
Thanks, Brian
