Well, I had a pleasant surprise this morning.....

Whilst I was trying to stir my tired body from bed this morning I head
my wife say something about a 977 lb pumpkin on the news and that is was
down on the steps of the Capitol.  What? Chris' pumpkin here in
Sacramento?  I nearly got whiplash as I went from unsconscious to fully
awake - instantly.

Needless to say, I got the family ready and we went down to see it.  I
met Chris and we talked punkin for an hour or so - what a great guy.
I'm even more jazzed about growing giants now, somehow I don't think
that we are going to have a backyard next year.....
