A local weighoff here! YIKES!

Oh man.... O.K., well we have this cider mill and orchard, Erie Orchards, near
us up in Michigan. So they have this ad in the paper, "PUMPKIN FESTIVAL" with
a Great American Giant Pumpkin Contest. (And a claim that they would have the
"World's Largest Pumpkin". Uh, yeah right. I don't think so. But anyway....).
I kind of chuckled figuring it would be these people bringing in thier 150-200
pound Burpee Prizewinners, and taking the top prize with them, etc. Since YOU
GUYS told me there were no other real A.G. growers in my area! WELL....my dad
went over and just came back and said they had friggin 650 pounders there!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And I was thinking of entering my 150 pound Prizewinner. I don't beleive it!
WHERE DID THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?! Do they like travel around to all the local
contests they can find snatching up the prizes for the poor local people with
their Big Maxes?! Hmm....well, the prize was about $300! (I never knew it was
that much for just a local contest thing). So just so all of you know, THERE
ARE A LOT of A.G. growers out there that no one even knows about, I guess.
Well, I am going to go over there with my dad in a few  minutes and check it
out myself, and take some pictures, etc. It is raining, but there were still
17 entrants! I was mad that my dad went there without me, I didn't even know
he left. But good thing he did since he got there for the weighoff and the
winner, I thought it was supposed to be tomorrow! Go figure. Well the pumpkins
are supposed to be there a couple more hours, I HOPE I get to see them! So I
gotta jet.............later!
