met some - missed some

How many from the group were at all the weighoffs and did meet everyone
we wanted to ??
I guess we should have worn name tags because so many of us missed each
other.
I was at Carnation WA.

I found Chris Michalec, Chris Andersen ( the one from Seattle not
calif), Brett Hester and Jake Van Kooten- who brought a wonderful 764
lb. pumpkin, way to go Jake ! ! !
To bad Chris Michalec's pumpkin was judged to be a squash ! ouch ! it
looked cream colored to me. maybe he could use a talk with Rocky.

We didn't show up til after the weighing had started. I missed meeting
Duncan, Jan Canyon, Shellie & Mick, and others?. I saw all your
pumpkins on their pallets and probably saw all of you too- but just
didn't know it was you- we could have been standing next to each other.

I met and talked with Joel Holland for a while. I struck up a
conversation with a guy who i didn't know who he was - we talked for a
while, he was just about to tell me all his growing secrets when he said
excuse me I have to go up while they weigh my pumpkin- it was Paul Handy
- who won with a 936.5 lbs. He's a nice guy. I was bold and passed out
some pre-addressed and stamped bubble packs to some people- we'll see
what i get back.

next year - we need to remind each other before the weighoffs - and come
up with some way to be sure to meet each other. name tags -meet at a
time and place - or something. now we have to wait a year to put a
person and a face with a name on an email.
anyway my family and i had a good time.
