Road Skins

There are those that do all for a buck
But Pov old friend close up that truck
The  little extra gas it takes
Can save you  from some big mistakes
Like leaving pumpkins in the road
 Though I 'm not one to really goad
I must point out that  pound you lost
To road skin, that may just have cost
You on this one, I must remind you
About a dare I wrote to find you
Last July when things were hot
And "Mud Wrestling" was what you sot
For women in the pumpkin game
So now I'll tell you that the same
Has" beat your butt" at growing by
One pound that might have made a tie
On August twenty two mine weighed
Two twenty two in the parade
Of pumpkins at the Marshfield Fair
It seems that I have won my dare
Your story Pov, it made me laugh
But I had to write on my behalf
RED slippery tarps and tolls to pay
Luck was with who upon that day ?
