How to get em out

I don't remember if I shared this info with the list before,so at the risk
of repeating myself, I'll do it again(maybe).
I can't reliably state just how much this method can lift, but it lifted
our truck.
Last year hubby and I bribed the local Highschool football squad to get
our babies out of the garden, but this year our son went away to college.
That combined with the fact thast we improved our pumpkin size over last
year and hubbies BAD Back left us with a dilema, what to do without
spending a fortune?
Hubby went down to the local lumber yard and purchased 3 slightly
twisted(therefore reject) 4x4x16PT timbers, lashed them together with heavy
chain to form a tri pod of sorts, and attached a come-along(about $20).
gently rocked the pumpkin onto the tarp(even that took 3 of us),gathered
the handles together in the hook of the come-along, cranked her up and just
backed our pickup truck under the tripod. Very little money and it worked
great!!!!!
We tested the contraption out on the truck first.(heaven forbid we should
risk one of the babies) It lifted the entire rear completely off the
ground(I wound not lay under it, but there's no need to be under there
anyway- this is not a method for changing tires!!!!!!!)
This way every one of them came out of the garden with absolutely no sweat
or strain.
