Lub,
The Regatta is definitely on. Stew has purchased 3, 800 pounders and one
900 pounder already. So far, no one has been willing, or crazy enough to
challenge the seasoned U.S. Naval cucurboat Captains....Captain Leonard and
Admiral Pumpkinguy. Could it be that our mere Naval presence has sent the
Canadians to the Hudson Bay? The 3,000 dollar purse may have to be used to buy
more cucurboats if no one is willing to try to run our Naval blockade at
Central Park. If anyone is interested in constructing a boat, we must know
about it this week for Stew will buy the motors.....no last minute entries.
The boats must show up at Stews on Wed. morning the 28th for final inspection
and fitting of motors. We will help anyone build a boat. All entries will be
trucked to N.Y. by Stews Trucks on Thurs. A.M. A wet suit must be
worn........orange tuxedo optional. Come see the Worlds first cucurboat that
goes MOOOOOOOOOOO with Stew Leonard at the helm with a Holstein spotted wet
suit. The New Milford Pumpkin Festival will be held this Sat. with 4 of the
contestants being hauled to Stews after the contest. The top ten average of
Topsfield will be tough to beat this year, but New Milford will be right up
there. I challenged Stew to a race across the Hudson in cucurboats......he
respectfully declined and then asked for the men in the white suits to check
out pumkinguy.
