Mosaic,
The Mosaic viruses must overwinter on living plant materials like perennial
weeds. It would make sense that a seed, being a living thing, could transmit a
virus. I'll try to find out if seedborne virus is common. If you compost or
even rototill a plant with virus under, it will die and not transmit a virus.
Hot water treatment of seeds at a specific temp and duration will kill certain
seedborne diseases....I'm not sure about WMV II. Someone asked for info on the
New Milford Pumpkin Festival Sat. on the green in New Milford, Ct. 84 west to
exit 9, make right ...apx 6 miles....Rte. 7 North for 6 miles....Duncan Donuts
on left, make right over bridge. 10A.M is a good time to arrive.
