Hi, it is I Jan Jooste from South Africa. I have a couple of questions I
would like to ask and would
appreciate any help I receive.
Question 1
Is it accentual to cover the vines at leaf interjections with soil to
stimulate root growth? Won't the almost constant wetness of the soil and
fertilizers applied in this area cause damage to these vines?
And if so, should one start covering these interjections with soil once the
first signs of roots appear?
Question 2
What is the best time of day for applying fertilizer to the plants? In the
early morning or late afternoon?
What is the best time of day for watering?
Question 3
When should one start pruning the vines, and which should be pruned, and
how often?
I have heard about "s-ing" the vines? What is meant by this and how is it
done?
Kind regards
Jan Jooste
