New pumpkin party
We invented a new game tonight. When we cut the pumpkin, we had family and
neighbors over to help, applaud, take pictures, etc., and many brought kids.
About ten kindergarten and younger kids. A couple of the kids knew about
"baby" pumpkins being left on the vines, so somehow, while we men were
injuring our lumbar areas, the women got the kids into a hunt for all the
left over female blossoms and the little fruit the size of baseballs and
smaller which were hidden under the foliage.
They had a great time with the game, like an Easter egg hunt.
Not many people spent Friday evening like we did.
Tomorrow someone else lifts and hauls the pumpkin. Good!
