Re: Womper numbers

Dear Gerry and Larry,

My name is Chris Wilbers, and I am a giant pumpkin grower living in
Springfield, MO. It sounds like the phrase "It was the best of times, it
was the worst of times" describes your growing season this year. Heartiest
congratulations on your new world record, Gerry! Heartfelt condolences on
the loss of Womper, Larry! You must have had incredible growing conditions
up there this year -- and must have done a great job of taking advantage of
them!

Since my family and I moved from Sioux Falls, SD to Springfield, MO this
summer I had to sit out the growing season. I would be privileged if you
could share some of the seeds from your behemoth champion pumpkins with me
to help get me started in my new garden next year. If you email me your
address, I would like to send you a SASE, and would be happy to enclose a
"handling fee" if you decide to establish one. If you have any seeds from
your 98 Checkon 815 left, I'd love to try growing that as well. I grew a
481 from the Anderson 977 last year in South Dakota, but your cross with the
Lloyd 935 seems to have been very beneficial.

Anyway, congratulations again. The entire pumpkin growing world stands
amazed at your accomplishments this year, both of you.

Sincerely,
Chris Wilbers
