1131 is given justice!
Well the new stations that brought us the "world record" 986 have now
corrected themselves without saying they ever were wrong. (Leave it to the
media to be able to do that). Our local TV staion which had the Bobier story
the night before had another one the next night saying "Remember the pumpkin
we talked about yesterday, well it has been "one-upped"....by MOONIE, a 1131
pound pumpkin....." and they showed footage, etc. So it seems someone (or
several someone's) called in all over the country and they got the correct
info. Go figure. I guess to THEM, the Bobier WAS the record for this year
until they got the info about the 1131.
Now we all just have to wait until our old friend Rocky Pacelli (or one of
his "boys") calls everyone in early December about his 1402 pounder (1402
Pacelli 99), which cooincidenlty was made into 1000 pumpkin pies right after
it was weighed. Heh heh!
