Tony Hickman here....the writer of the pumpkin poems.
I tend to agree that the Rude Pumpkin poem shouldn't be on Duncans site.
I wrote that to amuse the adults. A friends pumpkin inspired me to write
that one and at the time I wrote it for him, not knowing the whole world
would be reading it and judging my character and Duncans site on one poem.
Children and Teachers do frequent the site and I get a lot of requests to
use the poems in classrooms. I always tell them that some material may not
be suitable and to use their own discretion.
It would make my life a little easier if that one ...and any other doubtful
poems were removed.
But on the other hand.....I am proud of little place in cyber space and hope
people get a laugh out of my work. It was all done in fun.
But then again Duncan....it is your site...you can do what you want with it
mate.
