Let me give you an example. I cut myself once with a spear gun tip (windward
Oahu). Bubbles started springing up in the skin around the cut. Itched like
poison oak. Went to the doctor and he said, "I'll give you a shot of
broad-spectrum antibiotics since there is just no way of knowing which
organism has infected your skin."
All I can suggest for the plants is using lots of antifungus sprays or
powders. If you want to go organic, I believe that it will be very hard to
grow a big pumpkin.
