I tried sheep manure in 1998 under the premise that it might have fewer weed seeds than cow manure. Wrong! Not fewer seeds, just different weeds! It
his higher in nitrogen than cow and horse manure, and the smaller pellets make it easier to handle than chunky cow manure. I'd rather try composted
poultry manure if given my choice next year.
