 3 boats in the kids magazine National Geographic World, October 1999 
 issue, tagged as "Weird and Wild".  I don't know when the photo was

   I don't think I will be sailing this year. I grew a boat sized pumpkin but 
I think we will keep it for a Christmas o' lantern. You never know....if 
someone like British air wanted to fly a floatilla of pumpkin boats over for 
an assault on the English Channel, I might be coaxed out of retirement. 
NEWS!!!!!!!!! At the last minute, I was contacted by a public relations firm 
in New York....in need of two 700 plus pound pumpkins. They are willing to 
pay 1,000 bucks a piece. They need the pumpkin delivered to New York by 
Tuesday. Anyone on the east coast or S. canada want to make a few bucks 
E-mail me (pumkinguy@aol.com). I have one that I have located in 
Mass.....need one more.
