Re: really big pumpkins

I agree, I would get the two books from Dan. You can get the books several ways. I noticed a 800 number ws posted several days ago or you can go to Amazon or many of links who are trying to make a buck like me. Lets define a buck... 20cents maybe. Go to this link for all your pumpkin books via Amazon

Seeds can be provided to you for free from most of the people on this malinglist. I would recommend getting a generic AG seed versus a big stats seed. I would hate to see you waste a big name seed on your first year of growing. If you are going to be fanitic like Chris Andersen, then you can plant your Big name seed. IF you would like to purchase some seeds, you can find a number of companies via this homepage

For quick growing information check out my weak instruction on
http://www.backyardgardener.com/secert.html
or I would go to Pumpkin Nook's site. http://members.aol.com/ezpumpkin/
I like what his growing instructions.... a little more detailed.

If you want to be like a Chris Andersen (just joking Chris) see this site for understanding the stats on seeds. http://www.mindspring.com/~neps/cucurbyte.htm
