the reasons vary. Oh, sure there's always the simple answer so often
given by pedantic minded physicists "pumpkins float because their
density is less than the density of water" but what does this actually
tell us about the pumpkin itself?
My personal research is focusing on 2 far more compelling hypotheses:
(1) Pumpkins float because they are witches.
(Note the intruiging Salem Witch Trial correlative possibilities)
(2) Pumpkins float because they are happy.
I know that these are likely to be received with a great deal of
skepticism and controversy. For reasons of fear, society often mocks
that which is bold and cutting edge. Rimbaud, Picasso, Brecht and many
others survived this; I will prevail as well.
