Free Long Distance
Hi.
I got an email today telling me about a Website that allows you to make
your long distance calls over the Web. Forget the Dime Lady -- this is
free. It seems pretty cool. However, this is not meant to be considered an
endorsement -- I haven't used it enough to do that. I've used it; it seems
to work; it might save you some money.
I am in no way connected with the Website.

You need a computer with a microphone and speakers and a connection to the
Web. You will have to fill out some personal information to register with
the site. You will also have to let it set up some Java on your machine.
Whoever you're calling just needs a phone somewhere in the United States.
It might work in Canada, as well -- not sure.
There is some echo in the phone for whomever you call. It's a bit
bothersome, but they quickly learn to ignore it. I've made some calls this
way and it works.
What does this have to do with pumpkins? Ummm... you can "call" someone and
talk about what you just saw on Letterman? Yeah, that's it!
