Re: Letterman (devil's advocate view)

Guys get real.
The average Letterman viewer hasn't even been in a garden, never mind
undertake
the phenomenal amount of work it takes to grow a prize winner. The fact
that
it was on for 20 seconds at the end of the show is secondary.
Remember also that the average viewer has never had, does not now, or
will
never have a clue about how difficult it is for the growers to get from
seed
to "worlds' largest pumpkin".
Whoever wins next year, (if they are asked) should have a banner
on the pumpkin reading"
pumpkins@mallorn.com".
That way anyone REALLY interested in growing a Giant could get linked
up here and we could all benefit.
Also, does anyone here understand how difficult it is to GET on the
letterman show?
I don't know about you, but I was happy to see the pumpkin and I
appreciated
the work, commitment, and dedication that went in to producing it. we
should
be enjoying the fact that one of US got to show the "fruits" of their
labor for the entire
country to see.
My 2 cents worth.
One of the lurkers on the list.
