This year I noticed that if I watered heavily, the dormant root buds would
spring out all over the place, buried or not. As soon as I noticed them I
Immediately buried them. I bury most of my vines anyway but sometimes don't
have the time to get out in the patch.
Dormant.... Im not sure how long they can stay dormant and still activate if
nothing at all is done.
As far as depth, not sure I haven't pulled all the vines yet.
