When do I remove the tarp over the pumpkin.

I made a tarp tent over my pumpkins this summer after they outgrew the cover of the leaves.  One of my pumpkins has not grown at all in 2 weeks, and the other appears to be done now as well.
 
After they are done growing, is there any reason not to remove the tarp tents?
