		I'm growin' now outside you door....

		I am in New Zealand. We are just into a classic warm
springtime now. Re lime - I always lime in early spring. Lots of it all
mixed up with the soil as the horse dung has a lot of urine and so is quite
acidic. We are also on alluvial loam (volcano just down the road - Mt
Taranaki/Egmont) see the URL below.

		I always plant the seedlings out on or about Labour Day
which is October 23rd this year. That is when all danger of frost is
supposed to be over

		We always compete with the Australian's (Aussies). They
think that they can grow bigger pumpkins just because they weigh more - but
we know the truth. We have a war on the Aussie e mail list where Tony rips
into us and visa versa - but we are friends really, It is just that Tony
cannot grow a decent pumpkin eh Tony.
