Yo Jamie,
Once the heat has gone from the compost pile it is ideal to use as
it now rots down slower and gives off the nutrients.Well rotted compost has
lost most of it's goodness except as a soil conditioner.Look at peat which
is the best example,lots of soil conditioner but no nutritional value.I know
because I have studied this for years.
