On the subject of composting I brought in about 20 pickup
loads. I would have to say for a first time grower the compost I used
helped. I didn't place two feet over hole patch. 6-12inches on average.
tested straight compost for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and all three where
very high. The pH was 6.8. It may depend on what you are composting. The
advantage of allot of compost an well rotted compost at that is the lack of
weeds until later part of growing season. The compost almost acts as a mulch.
Next year I plan on bringing in another 20 to 30
loads.mark
