bug problem

I am having problems with what I call stink bugs. They are greyish black and are climbing on my pumkins. Many of my pumpkins with these bugs on them are rotting in the garden. Are these bugs squash bugs? Can I spray my pumpkins with Sevin to get rid of them? I have picked many pumpkins and placed them on a wagon and the bugs are still on them.
 
I apologize if anyone got this message twice, I am new at this.
