Seed Charateristics
As a community we do a pretty good job of documenting our pedigrees (thanks
Al & Mike) and of documenting the measurements of the pumpkins (thanks
Tony), but I have not seen any compilation of plant characteristics.
Plenty of our focus is on the top 700+lb pumpkins each year as these are our
best and we all want to grow from the best. I would like to suggest that we
all contribute to a thread based on the seed we grew from. In other words,
provide the characteristics if the pant you grew. Put the mother seed as the
subject of your email.
Do not be limited to the descriptions below, these are just examples or
suggestions. Hopefully we may seed a trend in pumpkins that split, the
colour or the shape. We may see things that some of us find desirable or
undesirable.
I don't want to create a debate over the value or usefulness of sharing this
information. If you think it is useful please post your own info. If not
don't.
