another little question

        List,
A week ago or so I cut off and weighed my 247 LB pumpkin and my 200 LB.
My problem is that as we moved them we bruised the underside and now have an
infection. The large one has about six spots that are now semi soft and
showing a small amount of black mold.the infection feels as if it may have
interred a half inch or so past the epidermis. I have been wiping them down
with a (damp) sponge with a 10% bleach solution and leaving them dry as I
finish. I also turn on a fan when I am home. They are placed on a futon frame
in my garage and that's about all I know to do to protect them.
Can any one help me to keep them going until Halloween?? We are using them
in a church event and I would love to see them make it till then...
