Preserving the giants
By now you know the results from Clarence. Great job Joe. I have a question
to post to the group about my bigger pumpkin(1025#er) that developed a 16
penny size hole into the cavity the day(that's right) before harvest. When I
found it I immediatly filled the hole with silicone sealant. I would like to
preserve the pumpkin for Holloween. It has a huge face and will be great to
skulpt. I know that bacteria immediatly enters. I know I must retrieve the
seeds soon (great cross). Iknow I should keep the pumpkin as cool as
possible. What else? I hate to lose this baby before Holloween. I will gladly
review all thought's and experiences.
