Sorry to announce we laughed so hard we split a rib.....
The 986 Hester*00 split today to a hidden dill rib. At approximately 650 lbs
the ribs opened up and exposed the cavity. I am really bummed as this was my
best of the patch. I packed the three holes that lead directly into the
cavity with rooting hormone and captan mixed with a strong bleach solution
then sealed it with wax. It will probably make it till next Sunday when I can
try to get a un official weight station. Wow what a disappointment. It was
gaining 12 1/2 lbs a day then at noon today three holes opened up. I am going
to take some time to try and figure out if it was my watering or just a
genetic flaw. I will know allot more once I cut it open!!!
 Just wanted to let you all know !! take care of those babies on your vines
and I wish all of you healthy and heavy pumpkins this season!!!!
