pumpkin lifter tripod

Hello list,
I'm going to be building a tripod out of 4'x4' posts. My
question is about length of the posts. I will be hoisting the pumpkins to the
bed of a Ford F-150, do you think 14' posts are long enough or should I go
with 16'. I will be using the PGPGA lifter if that is important in determining
how long they should be.
