A weight will be placed into an envelope prior to
the weighoff, selected by an independent party and will not be known by anyone
except this person.
Once all the pumpkins in Ottawa have been weighed
the envelope will be opened. If an official pumpkin (no splits etc. - see the
rules) matches that weight, the grower will win $30,000. In
the event of a tie the prize will be split equally amongst the
winners.
