We laughed
Kev,
Sorry about your big one. Which one is it? Does that mean you're out of
pumpkins? I don't believe that - don't I recall seeing TWO punks plus a
lovely squash on my computer screen? Sounds like you're just laying low!
Hey, what about Andrew Papez! I hope he does shatter the record - he
sounds like a fine young man. Is Brett stringing along us West Coasters?
Elk Grove and Half Moon Bay for us, and the Sonoma County Harvest Fair
probably, and maybe the Windsor [CA] Pumpkin Festival. I feel at least
partly responsible for the Windsor event, since it was I who gave seeds
and a seedling to Windsor's mayor.
We will not have to take David's truck to the weighoff since my big one
seems to have stopped growing at about 50 pounds and my wee one at 23
pounds. Both on the LaRue, thank you very much! The 23 is so orange it's
almost red, and perfectly round. The 50 is yellow with orange overtones.
I plan to save the seeds.
David's potted 487 Andersen has taken off and will probably get to 50-60
pounds.
Kathie
