The Thanksgiving Point weigh off is sure to turn into a top-notch event
with the marvelous location and impressive support of the people at
Thanksgiving Point. I've been growing AGs competitively for 4 years in
Salt Lake City and am very excited to see a great official weigh off
site in our home state. Last year we had a new state record of 633# and
a couple of 500 pounders at the weigh off and are looking to see a
home-grown 700 pounder this year, along with several in the 500 pound
range (but who really knows until October 6!?). So, this is your
official invite:
BRING THOSE PUMPKINS TO SALT LAKE CITY!!!!!
Highlights include:
* Official GPC Weigh Off with Prize Money
* Various festivities, including pie eating, face painting and
pumpkin decorating
* Beautiful scenery (the site is literally at the base of 11,000'
peaks)
* One of the nation's best Dinosaur museums is located at
Thanksgiving Point
* The Fall Leaves are changing & peak around October 6th--Drive
Alpine Loop
* Check out Salt Lake and Park City, site of the 2002 Winter Olympic
Games
Thanksgiving Point is located 35 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City,
