Just Another Question or 2

Hi List ;
         So I should take the seeds from my best (and my only ) pumpkin and save some for next year, because the already like where they were born.  Is this better than ordering seed from Mr. Dill, where I got the seeds that I am growing this year ?
          It is good to break up the old pumpkins at the end of the season and turn them under.  I assume this after all seeds have been removed.  If I bury seeds and all, will I not have many little babies next year?
          Can someone please tell me when the weigh-off in Clearance, N.Y. is?
